Houston’s daughter taken to hospital
Bobbi Kristina Brown Whitney Houston’s only daughter was taken to hospital by the Beverly Hills Fire Department, which operates the ambulance service. The police say the condition of Bobbi Kristina Brown, who is 18, is not life threatening. She was taken to hospital from the same hotel where her mother died. ABUJA – Nigeria’s economy lost out on an estimated 207.4 billion naira due to a strike this month prompted by a dispute over fuel import subsidies, the national bureau of statistics said on Wednesday. The biggest losses were sustained in the retail and the oil and gas sectors, a report by the bureau said. Nigeria’s consumer inflation edged down slightly year-on-year in December to 10.3 percent, from 10.5 percent the month before, it also said. Stan Collymore A man has been arrested over claims by ex-footballer Stan Collymore that he was sent racial abuse on Twitter. Collymore contacted Staffordshire Police who passed on the complaint to Northumbria Police. The 21-year-old man, believed to be in the Newcastle area, is currently in police custody on suspicion of racially-aggravated harassment. Collymore, 40, originally from Cannock, Staffordshire, played for a string of top clubs in his career. He now works as a broadcaster for talkSPORT. Stephen Lawrence: Gary Dobson and David Norris get 15 and 14 year minimum terms
Two men found guilty of the 1993 racist murder of Stephen Lawrence in south east London have been jailed for life. Gary Dobson, 36, will serve a minimum of 15 years and two months and David Norris, 35, 14 years and three months. The pair were sentenced at the Old Bailey as if they were juveniles because both were under 18 when the black teenager died.
